Ages 5–6

Dinosaur Scene Coloring Pages

A spotted T-rex, a long-neck, a triceratops, a stegosaurus, and a flying reptile. More parts, and a little pattern. For about ages 5 to 6.

These dinosaurs are for about ages 5 to 6. Each one has more parts than the ages 3–4 dinosaur set, plus a small pattern: spots, plates, or wing panels. Friendly faces, not a monster poster.

There’s a spotted T-rex, a long-neck, a patterned triceratops, a patterned stegosaurus, and a flying reptile. The plates and the spots are the easiest patterns to explain. The flying reptile takes longer.

The other ages 5–6 set is the ocean scene coloring pages. The simpler dinosaur coloring pages are for ages 3–4. Town scenes are for ages 6–8.

Two colors taking turns works well, such as every other plate. The plants can stay uncolored.

A few questions

What age are these dinosaur pages for?

About ages 5 to 6. Spots, plates, and frill sections give the page a pattern. The lines stay bold enough to crayon.

Are they scary?

No. The faces are friendly and the teeth are not the point of the picture. A child who wants a simpler dinosaur should use the ages 3–4 dinosaur set.

Which page should we print first?

The stegosaurus plates and the T-rex spots are easy to explain. The flying reptile has more wing panels.

How is this different from the ocean set?

Both are ages 5–6. The ocean pages are water scenes. These are dinosaurs with a little pattern and a few plants, not another boat or reef.
